the rectangle on the head is the automatic choke

try removing the two hoses that connect to the intake manifold and the carb and capping the nipples ( don't worry about the hoses ) all the vaccum is at the nipples..

if the choke is plugged or stuck in a partial position this test will change the way the bike starts

unusal two queations in a row with the same answer but slightly different problems
