same problem

Yeah I haven't found a solution. Someone suggested I purchase "sea foam", some high end engine cleaner, and put some in the muffler. Let it sit for 20 min and then put the muffler back on and run the engine to burn off carbon. So maybe it's carbon build-up?

I am not convinced of the carbon build-up idea. It was running 35mph about 2 months ago, and then suddenly changed. It wasn't a gradual thing.

Hey, does anyone know about the copper screw inside the carburator? I have been thinking about that. When I took apart the carb, the third time, I took that out as well and cleaned. (I think it's the jet?) anyway, I screwed it back in, until tight. Maybe I was suppose to leave it out a few turns? This is the screw that is INSIDE the carb. Was I correct in tightening it all the way?

Anyone in the Seattle area that would like to help me out on this bike?
