the main jet, screws or press fits into the pickup tube insdide the carb body

NO washer

if you are talking about the fuel/air adjustment screw 'which is for idle mix' on the outside of the carb, there is a washer, a spring and a 'oring' on the screw

loss of or the ruining of this 'oring' is what cause's most carb/idle adjustment problems

NO oring , means an air intake leak changing the mix and making it unstable
