Well, since I didn't get an answer I decided to go ahead and drill the hole. I used a 1/32 bit and opened the hole. It started OK and now it takes full throttle. I re-adjusted the throttle setting and the fuel mixture according to instructions in an earlier post and now it runs like a champ!
