If the Elite has adjustments for idle mixture, you'll need to lean out the mix a bit.
Basicly the bike is running just fine when it's cold because it needs a rich mix. But once it warms up it doesnt need as much, so it dies.
The running fine at higher throttle alone is all I needed to hear. Idle mix only effects the idle, therefor it runs right when you take it above idle.
