no key, common problem

You dont want to hotwire it. If you permanantly conect it to the on position, then you will have no batery. If you just unplug it, you can run it, but you will have no headlight or tail light.
So, remove the pins from the lock.
1. open the headlight bucket.
2. From inside the bucket, you must press in all the little clips that hold the ignition switch in, and pull out the switch. This is a pain in the a**. Use flathead screwdrivers to press them in, and try to pull out one side at a time. You can figure it out.
3. Disasemble the ignition switch. I cant remember exactly how to do this, but it wasnt hard. I think the black front cover just pops off with a screwdriver, and then you go from there.
4. When you get down to the main white plastic part, you will see that there are 3, or 4, of 5, tiny springs, and pins in the plastic. Pull them all out.
5. Reassemble the entire thing without the pins.
6. Now you can turn youre express on and off with any key. or even a flathead screwdriver. and it still looks like you need a key. this deters theft.
email me with any questions. just put honda express in the subject line so i know its not junk mail. triumph92@hotmail.com
