most likely problem is a clogged exhaust

try loosening NOT removing the nuts at the exhaust flange, wheer it bolts to the cylinder

spray with penetrating lube, before attemping to loosen these nuts, a seize nut will end up with you breaking the stud off..

with the exhaust slightly loose, start the express,

it will be LOUD, if it runs significantly faster, the replace or clean the exhaust

if you decide to replace, buy an aftr market performance exhaust NOT a honda stock exhaust

the PF exhaust will cost about the same or even less than the orignial honda part and give more power and speed
