no it shouldn't. dang thats one heck of a pump, but more likely the oil is just flowing though the pump into the crankcase without any problem. Open up your oil pump and see if you are missing any parts. athere is a scematic of it in the shop manual avaliable on this website. mabe any hoses are disconected? but it is most liekly your pump. if u do have to get a new one they are avaliable on www.bikebandit.com for the amazing bargain price of $80.00 haha.
