I recently got a 1980 NC50 as a project bike. One of the things wrong with it is that the starter spring won't release (turn the engine). I'm not sure whether the spring is broken or whether it's wound up tight and won't release. I'm a little afraid to open the tranny with visions of the spring suddenly releasing and spraying parts around my garage. Does anyone have any advice?
