      Thanks Ben, you're point is nicely stated. But never forget that movies are a highly subjective matter.

      Performances that you call loveable and touching someone else might call dull, uninteresting or uninspired.

      Dialogue that you call hilarious and intelligent, someone else might call simple or bland. We've heard this stuff before.

      You will not find anyone more appreciative of the creative aspects of filmmaking or someone who applauds the filmmaker who steps out on a limb more than me. But the fact is, we've seen this "mockumentary" style of filmmaking many times. Of course the medium is the message, but it was done better in This is Spinal Tap.

      I guess the main reason I didn't get its humor was becasue it wasn't funny. Taking humorous jabs at a subject that is already pitifully funny is not smart humor. We already saw that in Best of Show.

      I'm still a fan of Christopher Guest though. Waiting for Guffman was brilliant and let's see if he can repeat.
