you have to update your direct x or video card

download the latest version from microsoft's web site, i think it's now direct x 9.0. here's the web site:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=141d5f9e-07c1-462a-baef-5eab5c851cf5&displaylang=en

if that doesnt work, you have to update your video card drivers, which you can find by searching your brand on the web.
