The AA players being recruited by Phillips are far better than many of the players Brampton had last year. A team that won only three games last year needs an injection of fresh blood. If you are one of the existing players which is not confirmed for next year because of the new AA players being recruited, suck it up and move on. Don't be bitter. Every coach has different opionions regarding the suitability of the players for his team and his coaching style. It would have been easy to criticize the last two Bramtpon coaches who recruited players from Caledon AE and Select in prior years. Move on and leave your bitterness behind. There will be hockey some where for you. |

what are you talking about you will see next year when those little double AA players get bounced around be such teams like Burlington, and Geulph. They won't even know what hit them. |

Here's what happens at bantam age and up.
Some aaa going down, some aa going up, ask some coaches.
Either you have an axe to grind or you don't know what you are talking about,
so basically you are an idiot.

It's evident that you're some low IQ individual that Mr. Phillips didn't want. It hurts to be rejected by a team that "sucks" isn't it. It looks like your IQ is even lower than your hockey skills. I would recommend remedial grammar before looking for a team that needs your low-end skills for next year. Why don't you come out and skate against some of those "AA" players and see if you can catch anything but wind burn. We know who you are B.C. |

anonymous (no login) 72.142.125.125 | Re: Brampton AAA will always be crap | October 10 2006, 8:58 AM |
Their not looking good at all. They have not got enough players with AAA experience. Blame it on the coach and the organization for giving him the team once again after completing an abysmal season last year. It shows that the Brampton rep organizers still do not care much for this age group. Besides, who would want to play for a coach whose main purpose was to promote his son first and the team second. I predicted last year for the 2005/2006 season that this team would not improve much and I was correct. I heard numerous bad accounts from last year from parents who have bolted to other teams for this year. I feel sorry for the kids on this years team who do not know any better. And for those who decided to come back again, you people must enjoy hitting your head against the wall year after year. You consistently berate the coach and the organization but you still come back. Do you ever think of your kids? Especially now that they have not been drafted and would just like to finish their minor hockey careers on an enjoyable note. Why are you all putting them through it again? Why don't you ask for your kid's opinion for a change? |

I have to disagree. We have played this team once already and I thought they looked pretty good in a lot of areas. Like a lot of teams at this age group, with what was around to choose from and with trying to time your signings and all, they aren't much worse off or better off than many of the teams.
Besides, it way too early to see just yet. Some of these new kids may develop quickly and surprise you.
The Coach is an O.K. guy from my dealings anyway. |

I appreciate your opinion and you are most entitled to it. But the fact remains that what he did last year was inexcusable and avoidable. This information comes my way by more than one former players parent. In fact, I have heard directly from six parents and indirectly from three others about this coaches conduct last season and they all share common occurences. Do not be hood winked by this man as these parents were. At the begining, they all thought he was on the up and up. He ran great practises and dished out proper discipline which was lacking. But in the end, the results were the same and the favouritism showed. I know gossip is gossip, but why would the best 1989 players from last season refuse to go back if not from what they heard and observed. I know their decision was not just based on his presense as the organization had something to do with it as well. Beware the white knight riding up on his horse until you know where he has been. |

Perhaps all that is true but my own experience in A, AA and AAA has been there is always a good dose of this stuff going on. Yes, any coach with a jkid on his team will be subject to the "Playing favourites " situation. I have experienced that on all the teams I have associated with.
I still say however that it is too early in the season to tar & feather any of them. |

lol ur a funny guy bud. who r u anywayz? thats rite ur a nobody, you couldn't hold B.P. jock strap. Ull see this year he'll do amazing things and this is the kinda stuff that he needs to get him fired up 2 prove u wrong. He skated with the caps all summer and was one of the few 90's that made it to there main camp. You obviously have something against the kid, probably just b/c he is better than you but that doesn't give you a reason to talk trash about him. Why dont you tell him on the ice when your face to face with him and then you'll see what happens. |
