The team looks even weaker this year !! Where are all last years players gone? They are missing some of the strong defense they had, now it's so weak.

The coach took on several new players and cut some great players who are now playing AA. Coach has no rapour with the team and therefore
shows huge when it comes to game time. It's a pretty sad situation.

The parents are never satisfied with the coaching. They change coaches every year. They could have Titanic behind the bench and still chase him out of there. And for the strong players they were like a cancer in the changing room. Maybe if they got back some of there better players like Cuma and Pierce they'd probaly be much stronger but those kids knew what they were getting into so they stayed where they are.

You must be good friends with the coach right? The parents have NO say in who gets the team in Clarington, if they did, it would NOT be the way it is now. There is so many politics and a** kissing here that no other wannabe coach stands a chance. Cuma NEVER even played for them and Pierce hasn't been there for years. Alot you know. And as for your comment on the boys that were "like cancer in the dressing room" ?? WHAT DO YOU EVEN KNOW?? The team is as good as it's going to get and thats not great. There are some very talented kids there, but they are treated like **** and the to the "cancer" boys, they are better off at AA anyhow, at least they are probably happy and are learning alot.

seems like they're doing just fine without those " great players" that were sent to AA. Coach seems as though he knew what he was doing after all.

The Toros are so weak, that when you look at the standings, it takes all the other teams in the east to hold them up at the top. Don't let your dissappointment, of your son being cut, inspire you to make ridiculous attacks on a team that is doing very well.

yes number 6 is a very good player, but i still believe that more then 90% of the team will be drafted, and actually i believe that the ohl cup is theres for the taking, moore (rat stash) will be leading in penalties, number 6 will be firing along with the other first rounders on the team, by far the best team in ontario, perhaps canada. Keep up the good work clarington, always a treat playing against you guys. Jollygood

The Toros may be doing well, but really only 1 kid will get drafted. They have several players that are very good, but many that are not that great and should not be there, but they are because they ie; might be the coaches son;really good friends of the coach;coach couldnt get along with 14-15 year olds so had to cut them.. etc.etc.etc.etc The good players have carried this team so far and if you didnt notice the coaches shorten the bench all the time.(which is working)

Yes you may be correct. "More than enough talent" I wonder how the players feel when they are there for one player. All the focus is to get one talented player a good draft position. How much ice is he getting compared to the rest? Is minor hockey still not about development? Are coaching staffs not supposed to develope a whole team and teach values for later in life? Good luck boys and hope the "plan" works. Hmmmmm a key players dad is on the bench!!!

If THAT kid (#6) was not getting the ice time that he is getting they would be no more than a 500 club right now so why NOT play him if he can pull the team to the top pretty much on his own. He was out almost all of last season and they barely made a playoff spot. Such it up and enjoy the kid for what he has done for them this year, next year they will be at the bottom AGAIN when he gets drafted.

i dont think people should belittle #6 because he is talented. He is, no question. His Dad is on the bench because the head coach knows nothing about hockey and as usual has players there (some) that should never be playing AAA. He has taken the heart if playing away from lots of players, past and present, but he still gets a coaching position.....go fiqure

You make be thinking of the wrong goalie, there are two remember. You never hear about Duffy much, but he has always been a good goalie, just not much reconition. The other goalies Dad thinks that way.

Re: not that bad

February 4 2006, 5:59 PM

clarington complains about the coaching when they are loosing and they complain about the coaching when they win, they just have to have someone to blame at all times cause you know it has nothing to do with Some of the parents or SOME of the players on this team. DISFUNCTIONAL, I'd say so. Too bad that this is what is going to cost this team their chance at the OMHA's this year, not the injured players. You have to feel for the kids who really are out there to play the game and could care less about all the bickering that goes on here, year after year ..

Clarington chirped all year about how much better they were than Quinte and i guess it is really showing now. Yeah Clarington took 5 out of 8 points, but Quinte managed to still come in first place. Clarington couldnt even get by Peterborough, a team Quinte beat every game. Toros wont have much to say now!
