I was told that they are not adding any more players to the list. Is that true? |

You do not have to be on the list to be drafted |

yes you do...that is why they make the draft list, so the same players are available to all teams, with no others...you have to be on the draft list to get draft, hence why it is called the 'draft list' |

The list is a guide for prospective teams to utilize as a ranking system. However, each team does it's own scouting and creates it's own list.
You do not need to be on the list to be drafted. They can draft a kid in 'A' if they want to ... but they won't. |

Yes from the Under 17 camp kids can be still added to the draft life. Each team is allowed to add 5 players to the list already created by central scouting. This is what I understand. |

You MUST be on the draft list. I believe it is up until the day prior to the draft teams can add players if they want to draft them, but then they become fair game to whoever wants them. |

read the post 2 up from april 2,9:37, he is exactly right.it is just a guide and really means nothing except to those who feel being on the list is the be all and end all. all ohl teams have their own list and could, if they wished draft a kid in the first round that was number 47 on the central scoutings list,it is their choice. |

No he is not right. You cannot be drafted if you are not on the draft list.
Teams can add up to 5 players to the Central Scouting draft list. It is true that the order or the rankings on the list are irrelevant. A team can draft a C rated player first overall if they like. But you have to be on the list to get drafted. The reason you have to be on the list is so OHL teams cannot "hide" players from other teams.
You do not have to be on the draft list at this point in time to get drafted but by the day of the draft you have to be on the list.
Here is a quote from Turow's website..
"There are roughly 1,100 AAA 1990 birth year hockey players in the province of Ontario in 2005/06. In order to be drafted in the OHL draft a player must be on the OHL draft list. Currently there are 290 Ontario players listed on the OHL draft list. Approximately 270 Ontario players will be drafted." |

There was a list made of 300 kids that was circulated to the scouts by OHL Central Scouting, there is a deadline for teams to send in late additions, that time is now, shortly the list will be closed off at around 400 kids.
YOU MUST BE ON THIS LIST TO BE SELECTED ON MAY 6TH.
All the teams will submit their late entries and this final list is what the teams use for draft day. |

players who are not on the draft list can be added if five separate teams nominate them - if they do not appear on five teams lists, they do not get on the draft list and therefore cannot be selected |

A single team can add a player to the list. The reason that you MUST be on the list to be drafted is so teams can't hide players. |

not true, you only need to be on one ohl teams list, but you HAVE to be on at LEAST one list, or you cant be drafted |
