I find it very interesting that the "traffic" on this site has deteriorated significantly since the draft day wake-up call.

Has everyone come to their senses and REALLY started figuring out what minor hockey was/is really all about?

Just wonderin.

Do these people really ever have a grasp of reality or what it is all about? I truly believe that they will never come to grips that their kids just don't have what it takes...and what it takes is insert drum roll here
1-Size
2-Skills
3-Strength

If you have the size and the skills you are in...they can work with making you stronger
If you have the size and no skills you are not going anywhere
if you have the skills and the strength but not the sizes..you will need above average skills and by that I mean superstar type skill or forget it!

Actually, summers were rife with speculation in the past. Who's going where and what teams look strong, and which coaches will lead you to the promised land.

This year: first we wait to see who sticks with their OHL clubs after training camps, then we wait to see who sticks with their Junior clubs, then we wait to see who filters all the way down to Midget. And the best part is that few parents now have the influence or power to do much about it.

So there is really very little to talk about until OHL camps begin.

Good Luck to all.

Playing another year of Midget also allows the kids to continue to represent their high schools and play with their school friends. Unless of course you find high school hockey too degrading for your budding starlet. Watch some games. There are several very good high school hockey programs these days.

Also, be carefull to sign for a weak Junior A team(in reconstruction). You could be stock for a long time in a bad situation

All the parents who said to everybody "o yeah my son has a scholarship, hes a first rounder, blah blah blah" have nothing else to say becuase after the draft their kids didnt get drafted, so they all shut up. Period.
