Alot of players were battling through injuries/sickness at the camp.
Del zotto: mono(didnt play)
Cooper: strep throat(didnt play)
Stamkos: hip flexer( played)
Dorazio: hip flexer( playeed, but left in last game)
Nigro: back/ shoulder(played)
The trainers did a great job to keep the players in the games. |

those are completely **** standouts from each team you basically picked the top draft choices and hopped on the bandwagon thinking theyre alwats great and nobody can ever shine through them, id say 30% of the players that were listed as standouts were correct the rest are all b.s stamkos will obviously make the team but he was playing theough a slight injury and didnt look that good at all saying he was great as usual is ridiculous. most of the players posted will make it through but only on their draft position they werent the standouts |

I agree; very negative. No one needs that crap. Leave it at the job bud, and try and enjoy life.
Great to hear these young kids are excelling at a camp designed to highlight their great skills against the best of their peers. Huge kudos to all of them for getting there, regardless of the outcome of each in the end. |

Making lists without knowing the process for evaluation does not add value.
Adding players names on lists here will not help them in any way.
Let the evaluators complete their work. Their criteria for selection is the one that matters most.
Many observers noticed the reality of the camp. Very difficult to stand out unless you know the formula which makes up the "little things" that they were focusing on.
For the people that listed some names and left out others, shame on you !!!

I don't know why people put post up like "making lists is not any value" isn't that the point of this website is to discuss your opinion it's for fun. Keep posting list it is fun to read make your opinion thats the purpose of the site. |

Good list overall. However, will depend on how those and others play and stay injury free from September through January. |

Who ever makes the team most likely depends if they are playing in the OHL next yearr.. I have a feeling that Anthony Peters will be on the U17 because of him playing the the GENS next year... DiSalvo might not make it because i dont think he'll be playing in the OHL |

Based on his play at the Under 17 Camp where was lit up like a Xmas tree, Peters will be in tough to make the Generals. Regardless as to where DiSalvo ends up in the OHL or Jr. A he will make the final squad. Burlon, Cundari and Varone from the Vaughan Kings deserve serious consideration. |

Peters has been a christmas tree since playoffs the amazing start he had was the reason for such a high draft choice if the generals take this guy they have some troubles |

just because you weren't at the camp, that doesn't mean you won't make the team. i think there's a posibility that one or two players who weren't at the camp will have an amazing first half of the year and make the team. |

All players need to be playing amazing hockey in Sept thru to Dec to make the team.
The past is the past. This might be the reason that over 40 players will continue to be monitored ?
How well will the players adapt to the new rules, new living environment and most important, new coaches and team mates not to mention new school and friends etc.
Lets predict based on this concept as well or why not wait and see ...

Anonymous (no login) 206.197.217.20 | Re: Objective is to win GOLD | July 5 2006, 1:04 PM |
Alex Hutchings skating and puck handling looked very strong. He was playing wing in stead of centre and looked a little out of sorts in the first game. In the second two games he came on very strong however and was one of the most effective forwards out there. He played on Stamko's line all week. |

Stamkos and Hutch that sounds dominate all the needed was Nigro to and they would be unstopable. |

What u r saying is Nigro can't carry a line and needs better guys to make him tick. That sounds about right to me. |

Hutchings future is on the wing anyway. Keep him high and give him the puck. |

nigro was nothing special and kadri was invisible! both very soft players. In order for Team Ontario to be successful they will need to find a combination of skill, speed, and size. |
