Do you need a release or go thru approvals from hockey Canada.

What hoops do you have to go thru to be allowed to play as a 16 year old, as far as Hockey Canada. Has anyone does this?

I'd think you'd have to get released from the association of you city. I think if you got it from the ohf it would be a "residential move".

Has anyone gone to the US to play?
If so, how did you enjoy it?
Also did they give you a break on the cost?
What does the team give you?

Stop the misinformation.

16 year old Canadians will not be allowed to transfer to the U.S.

Hockey Canada will not allow it.

They could play with a U.S. team is if that team is in a Canadian Junior league, such as Saginaw, Plymouth. Forget the empire Jr. League it is not allowed.

They will allow an actual player transfer to if a kid was in a residential school in the U.S. or his parents move to the U.S.
