Notice in his first game in the 'O', he popped 2 goals and 1 assist. Better than most.

Beware of kids that go to crap teams and are touted as a saviours, they will get points but the team loses. 90's that went to better teams start on the fourth line and earn their way up. These players will get their turn and should be a little better balanced and understanding of how hard it is to "make it" in hockey.

Beware the forsaken one who never give kids credit. Two goals are two goals and congatulations to the boy. And good for him if he doesn't have to toil on the bench or in the stands.

Power play versus 5 on 5 = big difference !!!

September 29 2006, 8:30 AM

players scoring on 5 on 5 really show their stuff. scoring on power plays, which seems to be over 50 % of the game right now, is still a result but not the same.

the 90s playing on stronger teams and needing to compete for ice will be in much better position in the future. no question about it.

as for stamkos, he's still # 1........tavares on the other hand ???

so many times when you are talking about 90's you forget about tavares because he has always been so advanced.
