Its quiet because its over. It was all about the OHL draft to many. Now nobody cares. Many will now quit hockey. Check the OHL draft list and copy and paste it or print it. Then take it out in 7 years and see who is where. Maybe 1 player will have been on pro ice for a game. Sad that all the real fun was misinterpreted all these years for a promise by many parents to their kids to be pro. |

I agree with the above post. keep playing. A lot of the guys who got drafted or put on the draft list got there because their dad coach or dad knew some scout and so a lot of mediocre guys got to think they wer something. Of coruse and even worse a lot of good quality players were missed. They still have a chance to do it the right way, to get there on merit. Never give up! |

If the boys are playing high level Rep hockey, the odds are that they are not lingering at malls, etc, getting themselves in some of the trouble we may have as adolescents. That alone is a huge advantage. We all know of buddies' kids who have drifted back to houseleague, or out of hockey and their grades are dropping and the troubles are mounting. AAA hockey does not make the kids immune, but it keeps them busy, & fit, and teaches valuable life lessons about discipline and stability and respect. |

Write a check for hockey, or pay bail .......hmmmmm. |

All very valid points. But beside all that they can still continue their development and get on Jr. teams or NCAA etc. It's not over by a long shot. |

what about a MUCH MORE realistic goal of finishing high school and getting into a Canadian University, play a little hockey at 11:00 pm after a lab and meeting their future wife! |

Go to the 91's site. They are way more crueller and viscious than you can imagine. Also you can relive your lives over for one more year. |

I think it is quiet because all the parent's who think their kids are going to the "show" are on the Tier II site. Draft year - who cares - if a kid has it he has it and the next couple of years will be telling......
Last year Midget Rebels had an "undrafted" minor midget get invited to an OHL camp amd make the roster.....go figure
