CENTRAL JUNIOR HOCKEY LEAGUE (JR.A.)

Below is a list of the 90’s playing in the Central Junior Hockey League (CJHL) Jr.A. and their “numbers” to date.

Current record of team is in brackets beside team name. 1-4-5 means 1 goal, 4 assists, 5 points. OHL Draft team/round is also indicated.

So far the top scoring 90s are Jason Akeson (4-5-9) of Cumberland and Zach Hervato (5-4-9) of Kanata. Akeson was not drafted by an OHL team while Hervato was an 11th round choice of the Guelph Storm.

Interesting to see how many Ottawa Valley Titans are in the CJHL from their Minor Midget team. OVT led the province in number of players drafted with 13.

Former Titans defensemen Brent Sullivan (Brockville) and Matt MacDougall (Smiths Falls) have started out well.

How do Orleans and Pemb. get 3 90s?
I know Parks played in the playoffs, does that count for grandfathering?

The league can have an average that is equal to 2 90s per team; so it could be that those teams purchase another 90 card off one of the 3 teams that only has 1 90 on their roster. So long as the commish of their league approved it, it is okay.

Well that is the way the rule is. With the OHF agreement & agreement of each individual league they can average the number of 16 year olds.

AVERAGING PROVISIONS

The number of sixteen (16) year olds in Major Junior, as per the regulation, may be an average per team as opposed to the maximum per team if the league chooses. For example, in the OHL there would be a league cap of eighty (80) in 2005/2006 or an average of four (4) per team (20 x 4) instead of a maximum of four (4) per team. The total number of sixteen (16) year olds does not change. This simply takes the averaging provisions of Year Three and applies them to the first two (2) years of the CDM. .......

The same averaging provisions will apply to Junior A and B hockey beginning next season (2006-2007), subject to the Junior league making application (with Branch support) to Hockey Canada.

Averaging is mentioned, I evened supplied a quote.

The CDM is about 50 pages long, you should try reading more than 1 page.

I have read it thanks for your politeness.
It was the changes for both the grandfathering and time of implementation for the number of 16 year olds per team that have caused some concerns for teams.
Do you know if all the Jr. A loops have done what you say the CJ (ODHA branch) has done?
You mention an OHF agreement?
