I thought I'd make a review of this movie that has been out on DVD for a while now since it's sequal just landed in theaters on Friday, June 11th.
It's about a star ship that is transporting a convict, and also 40 random people commercialy across the galaxy to wherever they needed to go, when the ship crashes on a planet. The planet is infested with aliens who have a taste for human blood and are burned by the sun and other light in general (wow, and it isn't even a vampire film either!). They find a ship that they can fix up and take off the planet when there are only 10-20 remaining survivors from the crash. Problems? Yep. Eclypse of the sun that lasts a VERY long time. Catch to it? Vin Deasle plays the convict, who is a murderer. In the prison he escaped from he paid to have his eyes replaced with eyes that can see in the dark. Night vision. Now can they trust the criminal to lead his prison guard and some civilians to safty? Will it matter with the aliens?
All in all...oh hell I loved it. I give it a 5. Very creative. Nice action. Has a fair share of comedy too. Go buy it! And if you get it before Chronicles of Riddick leaves theaters there is a free ticket in the DVD to see it lol.
