This year Hootens' preseason ranking showed Pulaski Academy as #1 in the 3A and Ozark was #6
Disappointing.
Pulaski's offense got absolutely shut down in that game, which is the whole point the Bruins are good. Their offense, or more importantly their vicious passing attack is their bread and butter.
Now look at a team like Ozark. Their offense sputtered (not as bad as Pulaski) at the Hootens classic, but the defense came alive. Ozark offense gave Clarksville 7 gifts... 7 fumbles. Ozark's defense saved the game with their crushing style and hard nosed defense. 4 interceptions... just a good list. Jessie Terry the MLB is injured (Ozark's leading tackler), and the senior halfback is injured as well. They're both seniors and are out for the season. That was a crushing blow to the team.
Without further ado, lets take our own little poll.
If Pulaski and Ozark would have went at it, who would have won?
Ozark's crushing defense versus Pulaski Academy's mean passing attack?
Ozark's sputtering and fumbling offense versus Pulaski's moderately mean defense?
