Cyclones/Cats

by Preston Lewis

I wouldn't have thought so a month ago, but I think this year's Russellville vs. Conway game figures to be even bigger than previous years.

Nobody doubts Conway is every bit as good as they were last year if not better. How better and in what ways though are the questions.

Can Conway diversify its offense if neccesary?

Will the Cats be able to get a rush on Nathan Brown like they did Landon last year?

And how will the CHS secondary match up to the RHS receivers?

Make no mistake Conway will blitz like crazy, and why not?. . . it worked last year. For Russellville the keys have to be:

1. Strong pass blocking (so far it looks very solid . . .)

2. Slow down Hillis and contain Wardlow at the same time. ( I feel better about this than last year when you consider how far Jonathan Riddell and Joey Crossland have come -- These guys became men at El Dorado last year).

One important note is that Nathan Brown is the real deal. We'll never forget how Landon amazed us, but Nathan showed last week he can lead an offense!

I have tons more I could write, but I better save some for the broadcast. You folks from Conway drive safely, and lets hope for another great RHS/CHS game!!!

Go Cyclones!
