over here and definitely in most places the philosophy is the smaller the better. that's also my reasoning for thinking it wouldn't make a good cellphone strap. but others might think differently. the 'paraphernalia culture' hasn't caught on yet.

oh, and here, even guys don't usually go around with cellphones in their pockets and nobody puts huge straps on them, if they use straps at all. actually straps are not very popular here i think. i don't know a single person who wears a strap on their phone. some people used to have covers to protect the phones but even those are rare today. and most people agree that they're mostly ugly and clash with the stylish design of the cellphones which are sometimes pretty expensive on account of their small size and cool design :D
