1) The Dresden Dolls
Punk rock werener Caberet-inspired music featuring piano and drums, if we're going
to be talking two-man bands featuring a female and a male, The Dresden Dolls could
kick the shit out of The White Stripes.
Watch the video for "Girl Anacronism here.
2) Cursive
Yeah yeah, they're a bit emo, but they're emo with a cello and a heavy sense of Irony!
The cello plays a big part in the music, which makes it sound much different than
most emo-type bands.

3) Sleepytime Gorilla Museum
Sort of Metal-ish, (Cookie monster voice alert. It took me a LONG time to get used to
it.) but the music is powerful and off-the-wall, features made-up instruments, a
male singer and a female singer/violinist, the sound clip I'm posting isn't entirely
representitve of how varied their sound is, but it does show off the spastic creative
weirdness they have.
Sleep is Wrong - Off of Grand Opening and Closing
I do stick by the classics, though. Devo, Oingo Boingo, I've got Iggy Pop stuck in
the CD player ever since getting the new special editio of 'Trainspotting', and
I've been waiting for my Talking Heads DVD ever since seeing "Stop Making Sense"
at a midnight screening.
