Response to my feeling

I have to disagree with your Tofu Records statement. They are actually putting out the time/effort/money to get thing released over here for cheaper. Making the CDs in the U.S. and trying to gain a following. Sure, I really HATE the fact that they are luring anime fans so much, because IMO anime music is totally different from real Japanese music, and the fact that if a band/artist does a few anime theme songs that doesn't make them special or better to promote than lesser known indies acts. But, and I could be wrong on this correct me if I am, they are helping to promote Polysics- who haven't done anime themes, and helping Puffy- who have been over here way before Tofu was even public knowledge. (Though their cartoon sucks, but the music has variety that I like). I see Tofu making an effort, even though some of their methods might be wrong (as you stated the anime crowd is a quick way to get a buck and also good to reference stuff to) we may see some more diversity with them in the future, and, I'm sure if what you said is brought to them and pounded into their brains (like if you have sites or something) then they -might- consider it. Or at least we can say we tried. As for JPophouse- I don't consider them doing anything good. All there shit is still overpriced and they are TERRIBLY organized. They website sucks and their prices are too high. They monopolize conventions and people who buy from them. I really hate them and boycott them almost exclusively.

But everything else you say I agree with, there is a lot out there and it's a shame that they don't get any recognition.

BTW: Do you happen to have any site or sources as where you find out what indies band/artists come over here. I'd be interested in seeing anything if it's in my area as I'm always up for new music no matter what the genera.
