Response to Mainly bcoz INERTIA gave up on us... |
| Risu:
okey.. so: this board is dead lately coz there are no new people here, coz nobody really knows about this place anymore except the ones who's been posting here for years. and most of the old posters are either:
- too busy dealing with their life
- left for other forums or even have their own sites/forums
- mostly listen to the old stuff
- not interested in vk anymore
and stuff like that..
(and Risu.. stop typing english using japanese character sets. your text looks like a terrible mess)
James: it is funy how people keep on saying that vk is dying for years now. it is perry much alive and well, it just changed a lot and i guess most people who got hooked back in the 90s doesn't really like the new directions anymore. but there are still several good bands amongst the new ones, plus some older ones that keep up the quality, plus with all the major contratcs during the last few years and with the recent European vk boom it seems quite unlikely that it will die anytime soon. the vk scene might not be as good and intersting as it was during some other times during its history, but it still has a lot of potential and who knows when will it take a turn for the better again.
Anonymus: batsu is the worst place possible for any kind of intelligent discussion. ever since it started it attracted the worst kind of hysterical teeny girls and boys. i guess anyone who actually wants to chat about the music part of things will go to some smaller, band specific forums, or LJ groups or whatnot. the problem is that there aren't any good, well known general vk forums, like this board, Japanese Channel and a few other places were back a few years ago.
carddass: yeah, you're right i guess. i think it happened because vk is much more easily accessible nowadays, thanks to all the websites, p2p progs and whatnot. back in the end of 90s it was much more difficult to come across this whole music scene and many of the people who did were long time music fans, who were looking for something new, so they were more interested in digging back to the roots of the genre and actually knew the bands that influenced the early vk scene and so on.. so there was a lot to talk about. but now the new fans are mostly young girls who saw some pics and thought they were cool and started to listen to the music later (and then got thir friends hooked as well and so on), but they aren't really interested in where this whole thing is coming from. (with which i actually don't really have any problem with, but you just can't except those people to engage in any real discussion, beside the 'omfg, kyo's new look is sooo cool' kind)
blue: wft? o_O | |
