In Exodus 4:24-26 it tells of an incident where God tried to kill Moses. I am certain if God had intentions to actually kill Moses he would have succeeded, so what of this scripture? Us dispensationalists tend to take things literally so how do you look at this passage? Personally I believe God only pretended to want to kill Moses to motivate Zipporah to circumsize the child, after all God does know what we will do facing any given situation. I eagerly await some replies to this. It is a critical passage one must deal with to understand God better.
i prayed for a revelation while studying this question for you
read leviticus 10:1-2
they broke the smallest law and were devoured by fire because God is a Holy God, and cant be in the presense of impurity PRAISE HIM!!! Zipporah obviously understood and "sensed" what was going to happen because she knew it was wrong, im not exactly clear on it, but i believe it might very well have something to do with them being at an INN/LODGING area, going to sleep when God gave them orders to go to Egypt, or else the Lord was unhappy with his son being uncircumcised, but the only thing that was different from the last time Moses had spoken, or the only occurance, is that he was in a lodging area, so i believe that God was mad because he told Moses to go somewhere and he went to sleep on the way
thats what i came to
much love to you, and keep praising the Holy One!!!!
