Re: Do you think that LBT really exists?

Hey guys!

Funny coincidence that a topic like this should crop up. For one of my units for my course, we're studying Virtual Environments (apparently there's a difference between a VE and VR but I'm still getting to that LOL) But one of the research topics is the idea of "immension" and the concept of becoming lost in a reality other than that we perceive as our own "real-world". Even without a HMD (head-mounted display) it is possible to "lose yourself" in a dream or fantasy. In light of buba's question, a fantasy can be as real as you want it to be but in relation to what we consider to be the "real world" I doubt such an ecosystem/world actually exists or existed. A fantasy can be as real as you want it to be but you have to be careful not to blur the dividing line between fantasising reality and ACTUAL reality. As attached as many of us feel we are to the LBT saga...we have to remember that it is just an animation at the end of the day. It's sole purpose is to entertain us as a viewing audience and from a business perspective...it is a product designed for sale to bring income to the firm.

I'm not trying to say that the world of LBT isn't believable and it is very easy for us as fans to immerse ourselves in LBT fantasies. I mean, look at the work we all do towards it! Fanfictions, artwork, websites, midi songs...all positive representations of our interests in LBT and our creative abilities working at their best!

Cya later guys!
