Anybody seen Ice Age 3?

by Sam (no login)

I haven't yet, but I know quite a bit about it. The gang discovers a population of dinosaurs survived and lived beneath the ice in a tropical habitat. However the ice melting causes them to be exposed. Also, Ellie is pregnant, Sid "adopts" three T. Rex eggs (and the mother ain't happy), we meet this weasel guy named "Buck" who lives with the dinos and has been fighting a Baryonyx named Rudy, and Scrat meets a female squirrel, Scratte. When I first saw the teaser trailer I thought "this makes no sense". But now I think "The explanation is weird, but cool"

New Back Story for Bron

by Cerah (no login)

I was thinking of writing a more believable back story for Bron's absence until LBT ten. My back story is that there were more herd members to Littlefoot's natal herd then his parnets and grandparents and that sharpteeth attacked the herd and Bron and the others stayed behind and held off the sharpteeth while the pregnant feamles the young and the elderly escaped of which only Littlefoot's mother and grandmother survived. Bron's further absence is explained by the fact that he and the others including Littlefoot's aunt did search for the missing herd members, but after hearing through various sources of Littlefoot's Mother's battle and fatal injuring from her battle with the Sharptooth belived Littlefoot and his grandparents dead. Given the fatalistic tone of the first movie I believe this plausible. Bron then found a new mate, not forgetting his first but these are dinosaurs and the urge to survive the species in anyway would have been an important need. Bron then had a new family and while not forgetting his first, knew that he had an actual herd and family to take care of, in the form of his new mate and children and His nephew by Littlefoot's aunt and had their survival formost in mind. When he met Grandpa Longneck and Littlefoot is shocked to find his son and parent's in law indeed did survive. This I think is a better story then the one given in the tenth movie. What do you think?

chomper eats

by hot (no login)

Many on the web have been asking what chomper eats. Many have said he eats dead dinos or eggs.He is too small to eat a large dinosaur though. It would take him some time eat all that meat which would rotten and attract other predators like dragbellies. It would be good, too if there were flies and maggots.

why do three horns think they are superior to others?

by rici roni (no login)

Cera boasts about and so does her father.Cera claims she is only one of the kind and that's why they like living in the valley. I am surprised the sharpteeth don't feel they are superior. They might have think their tongue is better than everyone else including their dinner. Most bigots think they are superior because they are ignorant to the fact that their accomplishments are as great as others.

Pride and Predjudice

by (no login)

That's one of the questions that has bugged me since Episode 1: What is it with the threehorns? Why are they so self-centered and convinced they are better than everyone else?

Their role is obviously that of representing the bigots in society today, the people who look down on everyone not as fortunate as them, and act snobbish and whatnot.

But for the sake of the series? My guess is that it's all territorial. In the Great Valley, populated by mostly herbivores, Triceratops are at a huge tactical advantage over everyone with their horns, and strong and bulky build. Thought at the same time they are not invincible, and are grossly outnumbered, so they probably give off the arrogant and bossy air just to keep people who they perceive as a threat to them in line, and thus assert their dominance.

Just a thought.

shouldn't chomper have sharptooth friends?

by rici roni (no login)

He isn't going to be able to survive as a sharptooth if he doesn't know how to fight or get along with them.It was evident he didn't since he didn't seem to get along with that brown sharptooth that wasn't in his tribe. Why doesn't he talk about them?He probably doesn't have one which is too bad.It would help if he had a baby sharptooth to play with.

utopia like paradise?

by rici roni (no login)

Is the great valley suppose to be a paradise, then why does chomper feel left out sometimes? Could a place be a paradise if there is prejudice or earth shakes?
