The first ever Land Before Time forum is here! Feel free to Role Play or have discusions!

The lbt-gallery is online from now on!!!

by (no login)

Hello together,

it's me, Christian
the new "land before time gallery" is online from now on!!!
The URL is: http://www.lbt-gallery.de.vu/
PLEASE delete your temorary internet files in your browser, if you've visited
the gallery very often last time.
Sorry, but I didn't have enough time to upload all pictures and rubrics.
So you will get a "coming soon..." very often. But this will be changed time by time.
But the most important pics are online: the "fanart"!!!
Something to the navigation:
if you click on a rubric, you can see a point beside the rubric, you've clicked on,
so you always know, where you are.
If you visit the "fanart-section" and click on an artist, you can go back to the artists
overview by clicking again on "fanart" in the pull down menu or you can use the "return-button"
of your browser.

Have much fun and
Merry Christmas and a happy new year!!!
Christian

Hi!
I hope that you all have a peace- and joyful christmas. Over here we celebrate christmas late on christmas eve, so I have a few hours less to go than you.
Anyway, have a merry and contemplative celebration.

A message to the same effect was posted last year, apparently by the same person. Well, I can only express my pity. Christmas is to a great deal (not exclusively though) what we as individuals make of it. If he or she makes something of it that he or she loathes I'm sorry for the good things he or she misses. The commercialism of christmas certainly is a regretable development, even for a not very religious person like me.

Littlefoot tells Cera " Nice one" after she brags about being able to knock over one of the redwoods but fails to do so it turns out the " tree" she rammed was the heel of a sharptooth!

Mother clones herd in 6

by Cerah Utahraptor (no login)

In LBT 6 ther morning after Littlefoot's first dream in which he defeats the sharptooth. We see a herd of long necks which look exactly like Littlefoot's mom down to the narrow tan stripe around there mouths. I just thought this was interesting as we have not since lBT 1 seen a long neck with his mothers markings.

"Who wants to have a million treestars" 2nd round

by (Login Malte279)
Forum Owner

There are several cases in which scientific or simply human names for parts of nature are translated to dinosaur speech in LBT. For example sun > bright circle, sea/ocean > big water.
There is one example (none of those given before) that has a dinosaur language name in one movie, while the human term for it was frequently used in an earlier sequel, though it was sort of a "part" of a name rather than the description of the natural event. What am I talking of?

Two examples that come to my mind are Cera in LBT 5 using the word "sea" in "Friends for dinner" after they had been talking of the "big water" before and in LBT 10 "Bestest Friends" she mentions "dreams" while they had been called sleep stories before.

Too bad they contradict each other.

Option 1: Twelve. In LBT VI Ducky mentions that she is one of "thirteen twins" who all hatched at the same time.

A multiple question:

Are the "thickheads" (Pachycephalosaurus) that attacked Cera in the original movie really sharpteeth? In which other movie are they portrayed as dangerous? If they are not sharpteeth, what evidence (from the LBT movies) can you give to support that conclusion?

P.S. Can you pronounce "Micropachycephalosaurus?" (World's longest dinosaur name.)

Pachycephalosaurus was definitely not a carnivore. LBT doesn't even make this claim. They attack Cera in the original movie, and in LBT 4 there are also two rather rough Pachycephalosaurus, but it is naver stated that they are sharpteeth. Perhaps they are just jerks
However we also see quite peaceful a Pachycephalosaurus hatchling at the end of LBT 6 when Cera and Littlefoot are telling the (altered) story of the lone dinosaur.
I can say Micropachycephalosaurus, but I cannot say whether or not my pronounciation is right.

Malte, your quotes SEEM simple, but I find it hard to figure them out. Perhaps it is because LBT has fallen out of favor with my youngest brother, who is supreme lord and master of the DVD player and does practically nothing all day but watch videos/DVDs (or pretend to: he's memorized most of them) and I don't usually watch them of my own accord.

Perhaps it is because the simpler quotes don't catch my attention.

Hey, wait a minute! It just came to me...Cera's dad says it in LBT III after being rescued from the fire. The full quote is: "You are right. Thank you, longneck."
