Collictive name for the main characters?

by AndrewAnorak (no login)

Is there a collective name for the main dinosaur characters (Littlefoot, Cera, Ducky, Spike, Petree, Chomper & Ruby)?

Terms

by (no login)

There are two terms which have often been used to describe the entire group of the "main-characters" (term one). Sometimes they have been refered to as the "Gang" (which gave the name for the land before time board called the "Gang of Five"). Chomper and Ruby are relatively new. We will see if new terms are created to differentiate the "new Gang" from the "old Gang"

The Cave of Many Voices

by AndrewAnorak (no login)

Does the cave of many voices (the actual cave, not the episode) remind you of anywhere? It seems rather familiar. Are there any modern music venues with similar architecture?

...is getting crowded :)

When the dinosaurs fall down the tunnel, when they land with 7 thumps that was the first time I noticed there were so many main characters now - Littlefoot, Cera, Petree, Ducky, Spike, Chomper & Ruby

Not yet certain

by (no login)

So far I have seen only two of the TV series episodes. The two I saw seemed quite good to me, but I have seen too little so far to really decide whether or not taking Chomper and Ruby into the boat was a good or a bad move.

Amblin is sending the dinosaurs to present day New York!

by AndrewAnorak (no login)

I've heard reports of a feature-length cartoon from the makers of LBT, Speilberg's Amblin animation studios where the group of loveable dinos travel to present day New York. They are transported there by a time travelling profeesor and alien being who also give them the power of speech.

Our dino friends befriend a pair of streetwise kids, but then get captured by an evil showman (Ironically played by the same actor who voices Littlefoot's grandfather) and it's up to their new human friends to rescue them!

I promise I am not making any of this up.

I suppose it is somebody else who is making this up.
Where did you hear of that?
I guess we can take it for granted that none of this is going to happen.

I promise you this film is 100% Genuine. It's got the voices of Walter Kronkite, John Goodman and Jay Leno as well as Littlefoot's grandfather himself, Kenneth Mars.

Littlefoot and Ali

by (no login)

I really wish they could bring back Ali, They did say they would meet up again, but that was another story. She is such a cutie and they both make a cute couple. I hope they do. I also hope they could start making little foot look older too. Littlfoot shouldn't stay small forever.

Many things in fact

by (no login)

They have several things in common. My guess at what you may be thinking of is that both of them have lost their mothers. We were never told about the fate of Cera's mother, but since the adoption of Tria I suppose the makers of LBT presume Cera's mother dead.

Re: Many things in fact

by (no login)

I don't object guessing games. Not at all
There are so many possibilities here (beginning with the fact that they are both dinosaurs) that it would be a surprise if anyone guessed just the one thing you are thinking of. They are both planteaters, they are both four-legged, they were both reunited with a lost father (though it took much longer for Littlefoot)... The list goes on.
Perhaps you could give some hint to limit the range of possible answers (I don't expect anyone of those I listed to be the one you have in mind).

(Great) Valley Girl

by AndrewAnorak (no login)

Speaking of Cera's voice, do you think she has a Californian Valley girl accent? She doesn't actually say "Omigod, Littlefoot! That is like, so totally grody y'know?" but the accent is there.

Re: (Great) Valley Girl

by (no login)

I don't know exactly how to recognize a Californian Valley accent, but this question is quite interesting for me as I'm studying Anglism, which includes British and American dialects. At least from the location it is quite possible that Anndie McAfee is indeed speaking a Californian dialect as she is from LA.
What are the distinct marks of Californian English? Are there any other examples apart from those you named already?

Is Redclaw ticklish?

by Stucklepaw (no login)

We had sharptooth tickling in the last two movies, but they were on the wrong body parts. I'd like to see Redclaw (or other sharpteeth/characters) get their feet tickled. Has it happened in the series yet?

Why do you keep asking this?!

by noname (no login)

The closest thing we have seen is Redclaw swallowing a fruit which smelled very bad to predators. It must have been VERY foul-smelling for him because he is then seen shedding a tear after the fruit went down his throat.
