i don't know what to make of them.looking at obv i'm looking at general trend to give me a hint on buying and sellig pressure.how do you interpret spikes?ha,ekc, sygr, and hook are all spiking.ha is obvious theres buying pressure due to merger news.ekc&sygr for whatever reason has some buying pressure which is displayed also in the price.hook's obv has spiked but the price has not.{moderate rise}is this a sign the price might pop temporary.thanks in advanced for answers.

OBV spikes can be VERY good Short-Term, especially if price has NOT YET responded. OBV spikes WITH price spikes are just like any sharp price spike: proceed with caution, they may retrace quickly with ST profit-taking.

HOOK: price hasn't yet responded to OBV spike (as of Friday close); a ST buy signal.

EKC, HA: price DID rise with OBV, now consolidating at a higher level (as of Friday close).

SYGR: OBV spike was Nov6, stock then consolidated and broke out again. I'd wait for a new ST OBV high for entry.

OBV is calced by bar, so be sure to use daily charts for OBV analysis, as the OBV will be more accurate.

JMO, of course.

I invest the same % of total portfolio value with each position (5%). Of course, the $ figure changes over time.

Best.
