You don't plan on banning me from this forum if I say something you don't like? Do you? I just got deleated from a club I supported for about the last year.

I hope this board tolerates discussion of new innovations being included in this system. In my opinion, it is foolish to not use new statistical methods for analysing charts to understand future trends.
It is my hope that this can be a cordial forum for discussing Ted's ideas, free of insults, foul language and SPAM. The latter may be the hardest.
I am more used to posting on Yahoo boards so don't understand the capabilities of this board and amount of control by the administrator (Rick). Yahoo provides a link site, chat rooms with the possibility of voice chat, personally communicating with the administrator, deleting messages, excluding certain posters and spam and kicking people out if they are obnoxious or otherwise breaking the rules (to be defined by the administrator).
This can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how open-minded and/or controlling the administrator is.
Is there a reason you chose this type board vs. Yahoo?
I guess also I would like you to define this board so that we all know the rules.
I look forward to participating in a more open-minded board.
Let us know what you think.
Best wishes,
E.

As creator and moderator of this board, I've got the ability to delete threads or individual messages. In the past, I've only deleted posts with severe foul language where it's quite obviously way out of line and offensive. I don't mind "strong" occasional use of language. I don't think the average person does either.
I've deleted posts that were multiples of one sort or another, obviously intended to physically vandalize the place.
As far as spam goes, I've never encountered the problem in forums I've created. But if I did, I guess I'd differentiate between intelligent and non-intelligent spam. Spam that's interesting and informative-- i.e. advertising for a situation that is explained and can be discussed intelligently would be interesting. Say someone came up with a new way to use Ted Warren's basic ideas and wrote a book about it that they're selling-- that would be interesting. Advertising that is repeated and annoying and uninformative that cannot be commented on would be more troublesome, I think.
Ultimately, a democratic vote on the presence of particularly "different" posters to a forum would be interesting. A vote would be available to anyone who has intelligently posted in the past. The edit function of this forum allows me to block particular IP's if the vote goes against them. This would be a pretty extreme measure, but I've seen situations in other forums I visit, where it became neccessary to take that measure.
Overall, I don't foresee any problems. I'm glad there are so many of you who have found this forum and that we can open up some new avenues of thought on Ted Warren! Ted would have loved it, I think.

I've only deleted posts in the past where there was severely foul language used or where there were repeated entries obviously intended to vandalize the forum. Other than those kinds of cases, I don't delete stuff. Now I'm curious: What did you say that got you deleted?
