I found the cost of subscription to the stock chart book is no big deal. When i considered my earnings. And keep in mind a three month old chart book is outdated(except for the LOOOONG bases).
The chart book is the best way to become aware of good picks. BigCharts, owned by smith&barney has its insiders, so some charts are not available as i would like to see them.
Good Trading!

Hi Brad. Just a short note on Chart Books. I have taken KR's TWMPMM commodity course and subscribe to his commodity charts. I recall that while I was still paper trading, I made just a single chart order before committing to a year's subscription. It may be possible to order just one stock chart book as well from KR's charting company for those interested in doing so. It can't hurt for them to pick up the phone and try.
I like your comments on Big Charts and has peaked my curiosity. What exactly is missing in their charting that you would like to see? Is the whole stock missing or just the time frame that they let you view. I am up here in Canada and have recently started trading our Canadian exchanges and use Big Charts exclusively in viewing and evaluating stocks for potential purchase.
This forum surprised me last night when I stumbled upon it. I had no idea Ted Warren's methods had attracted as much interest to provide for an active discussion forum. I have found Ted's book to be the #1 addition to my understanding of the financial markets and hope to profit in stocks through its use.
Take Care Brad.

I recently became a TW disciple. In the course I ordered from KW, I also read the testimonials for his commodities course. I am curious as to how you are making out and how long have you been trading commodities. I have been following the Value Line Index but not long enough to be able to say whether or not I will be able to make money trading it.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Erik. Please accept my appology for taking time to respond. I've had some pressing matters that have taken me away from my computer for the last number of days.
I have been trading commodities for probably over a year and a half and began with KR's initial commodity course possibly about 2 years ago. I have been quite active, strayed from course material at times, experienced wins and losses, and at present am more down than up, but must add that is not a permanent position- had you asked me at a different time, I may well have been more up than down.
Through all that KR has to offer, I have come to the point in my "education" that I view all markets, both commodities and stocks, through Ted's understanding and strategies. To put it simply, KR is the messenger, TW the message. And further to that, a chart is a chart be it stocks or commodities, buy low, sell high, and if you get out before profiting, you lose.
If you understand Ted Warren's style before knowing of the commodity markets, I personally believe you are ahead of those that know commodities before they understand Ted Warren. I personally knew of the commodity markets before I knew of TW. I am extremely thankful that I have read Ted's book and have come across this forum. It has firmly re-inforced my belief in the buy and hold strategy and gives me confidence that should I stick to my basic TW style that has always come through for me in the past, I will continue to push forward in both stocks and commodities.
Take care Erik
