Hi Rick, and everybody else. I just started reading TW's book. I'm about 30% thru it. I also ordered the TW course from KR, that should be here next week and I am looking forward to it. I found this site thru Lester^2^ over at the Softrade forum. As soon as I get thru the book and the course, I look forward to being an active participant over here. Hope you've got room for one more.

Just kidding!

Of course, welcome aboard. When I first discovered TW through KR, I was quite thrilled that finally here was a "system" that I could depend upon. And it took into account all the shenanigans that go on withing the brokerage industry.

I used to be strictly a fundamentalist-- not the religion. I'd do the research on who was on the board of directors of the company. I'd drive myself crazy trying to determine if their main product had a future. Well-- all of that is still interesting when taken in measured doses. But for regular predictable stock trades to make money, TW is like an antacid: It gives me a lot of relief from that bloated mental feeling.

All I do now is sail through some long term charts, look for the characteristics that Ted defined and either follow the stock or buy some of it. With all the concern about over-priced stocks these days, TW still is a winning method because it doesn't matter what the P/E is. We're looking at chart formations-- an volume. And for me personally, I'm also looking for the lower priced stuff.

I used to think that the more people who knew about the TW way of thinking would be a detriment to those of us who caught onto it. But now, I don't think it matters. I think the volume of trading is so huge that we're STILL a very TINY minority in the grand scheme of things. It's not as if this forum is being kicked off the ISP it's hosted on because volume is too high!

Therefore, we have room for one more. But that's all. You made it! Just under the wire. (Kidding.).

Hee,hee. Thanks for the warm welcome (good thing I have a sense of humor). I'm anxiously awaiting the TW course which is supposed to arrive next week. In the meantime I have the book to read. Just out of curiosity last night I pulled up some charts on bigcharts.com to check some ones I know against what I've read so far. **WOW** I pulled up a 10 year chart on MSFT just to see. **WOW** again.
Even though I'm only 30% of the way thru the book it looks like a classic of what TW is talking about!!!

Thanks again for the welcome. As soon as I get thru the material I hope to be an active contributor here.

Thanks,
MIT
