Ted Warren says that in a rising stock there is often very choppy action before it falls. Any opinion as to whether this is occurring in the market indexes or is it a result of the hordes of internet traders?

Do you mean choppy as going up and down or churning ready to make a big move? I think with the way the stock market is lately, it is hard to tell if the insiders are pushing more people out or the market is so unpredictable. A lot of investors are selling off solid stocks to buy tech stocks.

Through the internet, more people can read the "news". Volume tracking programs make decisions quicker. It may be that the "internet herd" of investors is more easily stampeded. Yet, a new group of insiders has arisen. It is the chat room rumor mongers. Wouldn't Ted Warren be shocked? The net result may be that swings occur more rapidly. It now takes days to stampede a stock, it used to take weeks. No more brokers to be dealt with, only computers!
