Where can one find a Discount Broker that will one to open a account with only $1000.00?

Try Ameritrade. They had a special offer for a while. Only $500 to open an account. I don't know if is still in affect?

I use Suretrade. I do not believe there is a minimun amount to open an account. I think all that Suretrade requires is for your check to clear before you place a trade. Look at www.suretrade.com for more information. Hope this helps.

I use E-trade. They have been great so far. All you need is $1,000 to open an account. I have had no problems with them so far.
