Learn to buy a stock when it shows quite strength, not during violent displays of strength in the higer ranges. Learn to recognize the variety of bases, consolidations, trends, false ceilings, false support levels, false starts and shakeouts. If you can detect these formations you will be able to forcast stock price movements.Buy learning the above will show us whose hands the stock is in. Either the weak hands or the strong hands. So, how do we learn to become proficient using the above formations! In all honesty its not easy and just plain takes commitment. Now that we understand that one big word we can move on.Look at your charts and practice each one of the above until you fully understand what going on. Exp.[false starts] Don't look only at charts where the stock is ready to break a trendline, that you have been watching.Look at any chart and it doesn't matter what phase of the stock cycle that stock is in.Your only looking for one of the formations at a time. When you fully understand each one of these formations you will know why there are four phases to a stock cycle.you will also see that every chart is nothing more than repitition. It just take time, and remember what the main theme of the TW method is!That patience thing will determine our success or failure in the market. These statements i share with you come right out of the TW book

I'm glad to see you are still giving us your words of wisdom. TW would have been very proud of this statement. Listen to what this message is. To learn and have patience. This is the hardest thing but it can be done. Keep at it Tony, for you are on the way!

Your words are to kind! Most of the people on this forum probably know more than me.The posting is a great way to learn and to be able to read the opinions of others.Everyone has the potential to do well in the market,But it does take a lot of study and disipline.Trial and error you know.I was just reading the TW book that says over the long term stocks will go up more than they will go down.

This is why this forum is great because of what you said. We get to learn from others who are learning, whether they have 1 month or 5 years as a TW head. Plus, I have gotten some great insight from you. Thanks for sharing your info with me and everyone else.
