I was not so impressed with this months Investolator.
I am also curious to know, does Ken Roberts or others "manipulate" the stocks himself, by telling others to buy, etc.?
Why does the US Stock Charts Co. list so many stocks that don't apply at all to TW method? In addition, there are not many breakout stocks in the stock charts book, why? Do they not want us to buy those stocks? Would it cause too much liquidity?

There have been times when I wasn't very impressed with the Investolator myself, and eventually I let the subscription run out. My biggest complaint is that too many of the stocks have already started to move (up or down) by the time the publication reaches subscribers. I lost some money by following "old news" from the Ken Roberts publication, and have since learned to do my own research with much better results. Although I'm a Ted Warren follower who relies on charts, I also think we need to take fundamentals and market conditions into acount when considering a stock. The ease and speed of today's communications have made dramatic changes in the way people invest, and that in turn has made for a rough road if we don't practice due diligence.
On the subject of stocks held by the Ken Roberts Company -- I'd be interested to know if Equity Oil (EQTY) is the only stock in which KR is listed as a major institutional holder. Anyone know?

Hi Marsha,Glad to see you back.I think the main reason for the investolater is to keep us informed on how the charting is done.An example would be the entry point, sell point, Distribution, and those fast rises and quick markdowns,Shakeouts and volume! And how all these things move a stock up and down and sideways. These investolater boys buy and sell many, many stocks each month.Thats there business! Our business is not relying on them, but to research and make our own decisions on stocks. You made a good choice when you made the break. We can aquire the same experience and technical analisys that the TW method taught them.We can also make some short term returns on there fast rise stocks which there seems to have been a lot lately.Good trades Marsha

Yep, I'm back -- to posting, that is. Actually I try to check the board most evenings, but just haven't had much to say lately. Maybe I'll get my brain into gear now and make some worthwhile contributions to the board discussions.
Your post above regarding MSN comes at a good time, which you already know by reading the e-mail I sent before reading your message here. I'm all ears if you have more to say on the subject.

I have been reading these posts for about 4 months now and this is my first response. I guess you could call me a "lurker."
I decided to reply to Tony because I think he has the most comprehensive responses and great analysis (are you also "lchurch" or is that someone else?).
I have been paper trading for a while and have finally jumped in on a couple. I am mostly interested in $2 and less stocks, and I even bought a couple that were only $0.10!!
I am very interested in this forum and I will talk more later.
Thanks Everyone!

What I like about Ken is that once upon a time he was right where we are today.Even though Ken is an exception to the rule we still have the same opportunties today as he had when he started. To have an understanding of business is understanding how Ken got to where he is today.More power to him.

Ken Roberts markets financial courses. I doubt he has enough time to carefully edit the chartbooks in order to manipulate the market in his favor, hell there are about 1800 stock charts in each issue.
But, i am CERTAIN there are subliminal messages in the Investolator newsletter. Ken Robert is the leader of the New World Order. (with Ted Warren calling the shots from an underground hideout)
