Though let me say, from the first, that I've only watched the first eight episodes; once Yin Susu dies I lose interest.

Just watched that bit today, when Yin Susu admitted that she had been the one who shot those darts, all those years ago, at Zhang Cuishan's third 'brother'? It was heartrending, and beautifully touching -- I especially love the way her voice breaks and lifts into that high thin fragile whisper -- and it was, once more, supremely incomprehensible. <em>Why</em> should Zhang Cuishan feel that their marriage is over, why does he have to kill himself then? It makes no sense for him to blame Susu for Yu's predicament -- well yes, she bears some blame, but it's obvious she's not ultimately culpable, and certainly there doesn't seem to be any reason for either of them to die, at that point, for that reason. Perhaps someone who's read the original can cast some light on this, please?

since she was only in tvb's version for a minor supporting role being cast as the parent of the leading actor----I dislike the leading actor in there so I didn't bother watching it.

I have check with this forum and her other forum several times before but was disappointed that you and others have not rely or post anything of her.

HSDS shouldn't be missed... it's truly another fantastic serial of Michelle.

Michelle is so pretty and stunning inside. You can really sense the drastic change of her as a demoness to a virtuous wife cum mother. For the sake of the thing called "love", she is willing to turn over a new leaf. For the sake of the oath, she committed suicide after the death of her husband.

Frankly speaking, i was moved to cry when she and Damian died.. especially the scene where Michelle found Damien died in front of her. That was truly touching. I even had to lie to my colleagues that I suffered from cold since my eyes and nose are red and swollen.

You may find it unbelievable when Yin Su Su change back to her demoness character. Especially that horrifying expression in her eyes, you can sense how deep the hatred of her towards those respectable sect.

I can only say that the first 8 episodes are the fantastic part throughout the whole show. (because it has michelle and damien mah.... after that, without them around, it was no longer nice anymore.. hehehe)

I didn't bother watching its since they were NOT the leading casts in it just the supporting casts and they were getting older --middle-aged--kind of old for their characters' roles ---since they are suppose to be a young couple probably in their 20's.

yes the two of them were too old, i know. and there was no need to cast older actors either, i mean, it wasn't as if they were going to continue being parents and thus would be required to age throughout the show? but. they were really good, and if nothing else justified the casting that did. this is one of the serials i watch again, and again, and again, simply because the performance of mi xue and liu songren are so utterly absorbing. as yin susu she is arrogant, and playful, and sweet, and cruel, and repentant, and then broken by the circumstances, and in the end she is stridently resolute and fierce and in general it was a wonderful performance and you shouldn't miss it if possible! but i know how you feel about wasting your money on a whole serial when you only want a few episodes; i was lucky, they sold the serial in sets of ten vcds, so i simply bought the first set? all the best
