starring damian lau chung yan & poon,chi-man.

I am disappointed with this series.
its boring to watch.
but all three artists are very young-looking back then like in their 20's.
michelle was cute & pretty in this series.

I am disappointed that michelle was paired up with poon,chi-man's storyline character instead of lau,chung-yan. poon,chi-man & michelle don't seem to have much chemistry & compatible couple as she is with lau,chung-yan.

why didn't she like lau, chung yan's storyline character while she like poon,chi-man's storyline character??

yes, i didn't enjoy this very much, not least because it was dubbed and that shi tingting had the whiniest voice imaginable, i sometimes wanted to slap her.

i know! but with these early series they adapted from novels it seems that they changed stuff and left out other bits, and thus the shape of the story remains kind of the same but if you didn't read the book (i didn't read the book) the plot doesn't make sense. why she up and dumped the poor man in episode seven was a complete mystery to me, and the way he kept faithfully mooning about after her was sweet, i didn't want her not to like him and yes, i really like the way she was all cute and bouncy in her braids, and charmed her dad and grandma and got her own way all the time.

the student revolution, however, was less well-handled -- the characters were meant to be rushing all over the place working for their political beliefs, but those were never clearly articulated and occasional set pieces, like tingting insisting on being arrested with her classmates, or qiwen/qihua (is that his name?) howling with pain because his dad sells japanese goods, were unsettling and not very convincing for being unexpectedly thrust into an otherwise unrelated plot.

if she didn't like damian and liked poon chi man then dump him, who did she end up with?

thats really confusing, cos i saw the pics on michelleyim.com and thought she liked him.

can someone give a longer sumary. cos i don't think i can watch this film, it won't be released in viet again and viet people don't keep films that are older then 4 years.

no ... i don't think she did. it made no impression on me, is all, i was very busy with lots of homework when my friend got me the vcd set, and i watched it in the background and frankly, thought it a little a waste of my time, eek. i suppose i could go watch it again? just the end, heh. i know damian lau's character -- qihua? -- found happiness in the arms of another, so i suppose she lived happily ever after with poon chi man person? he was a revolutionary leader, that i remember, and they went off into the country together. or something. sorry (:

he went off in the arms of another girl? why ever for? he should still be mooning over her, and die in the revelotion, that way she'll realised that she was in love with him from the start so she leaves poon chi man and go live in teh country and tell little kids about a hero called damian who fought and died for the country.
