For three days,Satan must have believed that he had won the battle.
Certain that Jesus would be forever in the grave. Satan no doubt was
confident that he himself was the ultimate conqueror.
After all, Jesus had cried out in the cross "It is finished"
was this not the cry of surrender?
was not this dying man finally admitting His defeat?
renouncing His position as the King of Kings?
.. perhaps the enemy had not counted on what happened next. On the
third day JESUS CHRIST not only conquered satan and his kingdom but the son of
God conquered death itself.
The kingdoms of heaven and earth were one again
and the coronation of their King at an empty tomb!!

The Resurrection
Mary and Mary Magdalene approach the tomb, and find that the stone in front of the door has been rolled away. An angel inside tells them, "Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here; behold the place where they laid him. But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you." - Mark 16:6

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, all fear is gone.
Because I know, I know, I know He holds the future.
And life is worth the living just because He lives.
How sweet to hold a new born baby, and feel the pride and joy he gives.
But greater still is that assurance the child can face uncertain days
because He lives.
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.

And then one day, I'll cross that river. I'll fight life's final war with pain.
And then as death gives way to victory. I'll see the light of glory and
I'll know that He lives.
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, all fear is gone.
Because I know, I know, I know He hold the future.
And life is worth the living just because He lives.
