I am 39 years old and had a tubal ligation approx. 18 months ago. Prior to that time I was in perfect health, and, as many women who have contributed to this website have described, I now experience a great deal of the PTS symptoms. The severity of the symptoms increase as time goes on. I recently visited a woman OB/GYN to describe my symptoms and seek treatment. She suggested the pill. She also stated that, although, there are many woman who have had tubals who have the same problems as I do, the medical profession "does not know why". She preferred to stay away from the whole "tubal" subject and strongly recommended anti-depressants - which I declined.
I would like to find out if there are any woman out there that have been able to gain relief from PTS, and if so, how? I have not decided whether or not to go back on the Pill and would also like to know if using birth control has helped anyone out there.
