On June 6, 2003 I had a tubal ligation because on Nov.11 2002 I delivered twins at 25 weeks gestation and did not want to go through that again. My husband and I talked and felt that a tubal ligation was the best decision. The only thing my doctor warned me of was that I would never be able to have any more children. Just after my tubal, my periods were very painful and heavy. Then, I had my menses from January thru April. I stopped for 1 month, then had it again for 2 months. My doctor kept ignoring my complaints, and had the nurses return my phone calls telling me everything was okay and to take motrin for the pain. I decided to see another doctor who is now ready to perform a D & C in August and has also taken me off birth control pills and prescribed medication for the pain. When I showed him the information on Post Tubal Ligation Syndrom, he said that he has never heard of it before and wouldn't even know what to test for, so he sent me home to pull up more information about how to detect this and to see him the following day for blood work and to give him the rest of the info. All I want is to find out what is going on with me and to be back to the way I was before my tubal ligation and it seems like no one belvies me when I feel this way. Its like if they didn't think of this, or if its not happening to them, than it can't be true. Can someone please help me.
