I don't care what the doctors say. I know for a fact that tubal ligation can cause a plethora of health problems. I had my first child when I was 18 years old. I was fatigued for a couple of months after the birth, but my energy levels returned after a few months.
After my second child, I was barely 21. I had my tubes tied, and that's when the problems began. I began to have migraines. I had never had a bad headache in my entire life. Since then it has been over 6 years and I have headaches at least half of the month - serious headaches. My menstrual cycle is insane. I have deblitating pain for the first two days accompanied by severe flow and clumping.
Since the tubal surgery, I have developed allergies, depression and severe fatigue on a constant basis. I am not one to take medication (except for the headaches - I take OTC Excedrin) so medication is not to blame. I have NEVER taken oral contraceptives - which the article seems to allude to as the cause of these problems.
As for growing older, I am almost 28 years old and I began having all these symptoms at 21. Some doctors say "some women just go into menopause earlier than others." AT 21 years old?!? Ridiculous. It astonishes me the lengths that men of science will go to in order to justify their positions.
At the expense of thousands of women like myself who are living "half a life" these self-centered physicians refuse to accept that they might be wrong and inform women about the serious consequences of this surgery.
After changing my diet, my lifestyle and various other factors, I have come to the firm conclusion that the tubal ligation surgery was the cause of all my current ills. I am too young to have the health problems I have considering my diet and lifestyle. My symptoms are almost identical to all the problems associated with high estrogen / low progesterone. This is caused by my tubal.
My hope and prayer is that the truth will come out before more women have to suffer.
