Hello there - I just wanted to post this message to find out if anyone else has been diagnosed with ovarian cysts after having a tubal ligation. My 4th child was born in May, 2003, and I deciided to have a TL, thinking it was a sound, responsible decision. My husband would not even consider having a vasectomy, as I have come to find out, many don't! Anyways, the number of problems I have had to deal with is staggering, including heavy, painful periods, unbearable PMS, severe mood swings, hair loss, weight gain, especially around my waistline, I could go on and on. My doctor ordered a pelvic ultrasound two weeks ago, as I finally asked for help with my menstrual problems. The ultrasound came back abnormal, and the findings included multipe ovarian cysts and problems with the lining of my uterus. I am now scheduled for a biopsy next week with an OB/GYN that specializes in these types of issues. I cannot understand why so many of us were not treated with the dignity and respect we deserved, by not being told of the possible negative side effects of a TL. Thousands of smart moms out there cannot all be crazy!!! I hope to hear from some of you in this great forum that was set up for us. I am going to become a member of Tubal.org immediately. I hope you all hang in there, and that someday we will all see justice served to us. God bless you all - Sincerely, Amy
