What Doctors Don’t Tell You About Tubal Ligation

I have just read your message, I could of written it myself!
I am also in the uk (sWINDON), I was sterilised in feb this year after our 4th baby, the very next day after surgery I was in agony.
I was readmitted and nothing could be found, had scans x-rays etc, all neg.
I have been going back to my gp now since then, I have had tests done for ibs, gluten intolerance, scans, diabetes etc etc, all were neg.
Eventually my gp refered me back to my gynae consultant this morning, I now have to have another scan in two weeks and then it looks likely that he will do a laprascope to see whats going on.
I have asked for the clips to be removed and he said that its not that easy, he would have to cut the clips out, he didnt mention repair and said that I would have to have my whole fallopian tube out on both sides.
Thats not something that I want to do, I want a tubal repair but no-one seems to want to listen.
I have another appointment in 2 weeks time to see him again and I am going to get some info together about tubal syndrome and take it to him and ask him if he could do a repair rather than remove the tubes.

My symptoms have been, facial hair, hair on my stomach and breats, thinning of the hair on my head, depression, weight gain, terrible mood swings, anxiety/panic attacks, severe pain in abdomen, cycles have gone from 35 days to 55 days, heavy painful periods, stabbing pains on both sides low down.
Having this op was the worst thing that I have ever done and I regret it deeply, I have even looked into having a tubal repair done privately but that is going to cost £3,000, money we just dont have.
The consultant seemed to think that all of my symptoms (apart from the pain) are due to a hormonal imbalance, gee you think? lol
I am now just waiting to see him again and I will talk to him about a possible repair on the nhs, let me know how you get on.
You can email me if you like.
Sarah x
