What Doctors Don’t Tell You About Tubal Ligation

Re: Another side of the story

I'm so sorry to hear about you have gone through, but so happy to hear that you have two precious little girls!!! That's wonderful!!

I, too have another side of the story! My son was born in August of 2004. I wanted to get a Tubal Ligation done after he was born, but we were in a Catholic hosptial and that was not possible. So, I began taking birth control pills. I did not want to take them long term, but figured that they work for the time being.
Anyway, I was doing some research on Tubal Ligations one day, over the internet. I happened upon this site and was scared to death by all the horrible things I was reading! Never before had I heard of such tragic side effects of having a Tubal Ligation! I began to have second thoughts on getting the procedure done. But.....I knew that I did not want to remain on birth control pills, or any other hormone type birth control! So, I decided to stick with my original plan and go in for the Tubal Ligaiton.
In September of 2005, I had the procedure done. I have never, not once, regretted it! In my personal opinion, it was the best thing I did! No more having to remember a pill every morning, no more added hormones in my system and I can make love to my husband without having to worry about becoming pregnant! (Unless God REALLY wants us to have another ! LOL!)
I'm so sorry for the many women out there who have suffered through horrible issues that are caused by their Tubal Ligations and I truly wish that things will improve for them quickly! However, like you stated, not everyone who gets a Tubal Ligation suffers once it's done!
I would suggest to all the women out there reading this site, to very carefully weigh their options. Think it through! You may suffer after a Tubal Ligation, you may not. But......if you are 100% sure that a Tubal Ligation is the right thing , than do it! Just go in knowing the risks, like I did!

Good luck to you all!
