What Doctors Don’t Tell You About Tubal Ligation

Oh my God!!!!!!!!!!!

If only more information like this had been around when i decided to have my TL. At 25 i found myself diagnosed with Cervical Cancer so we under took the treatment that was involved with that and decided to have the TL because of only having 5% of my Cervix remaining. I did not wish to go on the pill for the rest of my natural menstration cycle as this particular nasty little pill (yes i tries every one on the market available)played so much havoc with my body and mind that my husband said he would leave if i went back on it. So the only other option for me was to have the TL. Boy was i wrong! The pain, irregular, heavy, clotty (large ones) and duration of bleeding is beyond imaginable and i was not informed of these possible complications as my doctor calls them. Other problems i have endured in the last 4 years have been horror woman PMS(true i am like a bear with a sore tooth and a headache), incontinence(never suffered before TL even during pregnancy), painful hips alsmost like someone is trying to squeeze them, continual itching in the nether regions with no thrush present or other infection. Now apparently the only options i have are to go on the PILL to try and control this symptom or undergo a hysto. I am completely floored and devestated by my options but because the closest big hospital is 3hours away, my husband is a truck driver and i have 3 children no other option is financially viable to me. I just wish you were better informed of the possibility of these side effects!
No woman would willing want to go through this but we are just not completely informed. My husband didn't get a vas because the doctor advised against it due to an increase in prostate cancer risk. HELLO we are people too and deserve the same respect to be given ALL information available so we can make a fully informed decision. I feel robbed!
